Each MR Direct, 16 gauge, stainless steel kitchen sink is constructed from cold-rolled 304-grade stainless steel. The superior-quality composition and corrosion-resistant properties ensure a strong product that you can depend on. 16 gauge thick, stainless steel sink models are 25% thicker than the industry standard of 18 gauge, and come fully-insulated to diminish sound. Their brushed satin finish helps conceal any scratches that may occur over time.
Apron (farmhouse), 16 gauge, stainless steel kitchen sinks are mounted either over or under the countertop, depending on your preference. A custom-fitted opening is required to be cut out of the countertop. 16 gauge, apron, stainless steel kitchen sinks stylishly display an exposed, front-facing surface that extends 1-2 inches outward from the cabinetry.
Undermount, 16 gauge, stainless steel sinks sit below the surface of the counter, meaning the edge of the countertop is exposed. Drop in (topmount), 16 gauge, stainless steel kitchen sinks fit inside a specifically cut hole in the countertop and are suspended by their rim.
Daily cleaning needn't be anything more than simple rinsing with water and towel drying. Many cleaners contain chemical additives which can compromise the luster of your sink if they are used daily.
Once a week, you can use a mild, abrasive cleaner with a soft cloth or sponge to scrub with the grain of the sink. Rinse immediately and towel dry. Never use steel wool or allow chlorides to remain in contact with your sink for long periods of time.
