Summary
The 502A equal double bowl undermount sink is constructed from 304 grade stainless steel and is available in your choice of 18 or 16 gauge thicknesses. The surface has a brushed satin finish to help mask small scratches that occur over time and keep your sink looking beautiful for years. The overall dimensions of the 502A are 32 1/2" x 18 1/4" x 9 1/4" and a 33" minimum cabinet size is required. This sink contains a 3 1/2" center drain, is fully insulated and comes with sound dampening pads. As always, our stainless steel sinks are covered under a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the sink.

    NEW SINK FOR A KITCHEN REMODEL
    I ordered this double sink for my upcoming remodel. It has not been installed yet as I needed it early for counter top fabricators.     Nice sink!
    This is a very good quality sink, especially for the price. It's a bit deeper than I needed really, and that causes the garbage disposal to sit lower, which caused a few replumbing issues, but my husband was able to figure it out. I chose this sink, however, because I wanted the double bowls. Overall, am very happy with this purchase and it arrived on time in good condition.

    This product came with easy to install under mount by my installer and it appears to be a quality product for the price that I paid for. I would definitely recommend this product to any of my friends and relatives, and would use it in most upper scale kitchen application.

    We ordered the 16 gauge. Sink is well made, very sturdy, and made in the USA - so much better than the big box stores and costs less, even with the shipping cost! Everything was well packaged and shipping was very fast. I will definitely be recommending and ordering again from MrDirect.

    We ordered a double sink. The double sink did not have a complete double sink. The sink was 7 inches deep. The middle of the sink was about 4 inches high. Not really a double sink. I guess we should have done a better job of studying the picture of the sink. I had the original sink put into our granite counter top. I had to have the counter top man remove the old sink and install the new sink installed. Shame on us for not studying the picture of the double sink.

    It's always hard to know for sure what you are getting when you order online, but after going through the specs and the pictures, I decided to go for it. I was not dissapointed.     good performing steel sink for our kitchen
    It is a very good looking steel sink. We just got upgraded our kitchen counter top with granite and went with this steel sink. IT looks gorgeous and also the steel looks reliable. Only one thing I want to advice for Mr.Direct to label the sink with appropriate model and information. At first look you can't say whether sink is 16 gauge or 18 gauge. There is no model or anything embedded on the sink. I am happy with my purchase.

    Sturdy & Deep
    Shipping was high but the sink arrived at my granite supplier very quickly. I spent the money for the thicker stainless steel (16 ga) and I am happy with it; believe it was well worth the small upgrade price. I would caution people to take into consideration the depth of this sink and existing plumbing. Although my husband made it work, it was a slight challenge because of the depth difference between the old and new sinks. My husband's comment to me was, "This sink is so deep, we could put a week's worth of dishes in this sink!"

    Great sink!
    Could not believe this deal! This sink was only installed a few days ago, but I'm already loving it. The depth is perfect! Also, the brushed look of the finish will help hide any scratches that come. I can tell just by knocking on the side its a much thicker, better quality sink than what I had before. I actually stopped a couple at Lowe's to tell them not to spend 2x as much there for a lesser quality sink, I'm that impressed!

    I have just receintly been using Mr Direct for the undermount stainless steel sinks on all of my jobs. All I can say is, for the price and high quality, why would you spend three times as much at the "Big Box" stores?

    I have to say we were very pleased with the price since it is less expensive than any sink at the home stores and better quality. It came very quickly and was packed well so no damage. It is a lot deeper than my previous sink which is nice and it cleans up easily compared to my other sink. So it is a great deal I am very pleased.

    The sink was shipped immediately and arrived within a few days. I was pleasantly surprised when a rep called me to let me know the grate was back ordered. When the sink arrived I noticed a small crack in the corner where the sound dampening material was appllied. I called the company and sent pictures of the damage and asked if the crack effected the structure of the sink. I had to call back to get the answer that it would not effect the structure but there was no effort on part of the rep to send a new one or any other type of response I expected after the first rep was so proactive about the status of the grate. Other than the small crack in the sound dampening material, the sink looks very well made and my granite fabricator commented on the quality as well. No comments on performance, as installation will happen next week, but I expect no issues. I gave 4 out of 5 stars only because of lack of response about the damage.

    Nice sink, quick shipping....this will do the job and look great with our new granite countertops. Won't be installed for 3 weeks, so I can't comment on use....but don't expect any issues as it looks great and has a nice shine to it.

    This is a great sink! It's nice and deep and a little wider than my previous sink front to back so I don't have to stretch as far to reach into it. The material is very durable and shiny and doesn't scratch easily. And best of all, the price was much cheaper than I found anywhere else. I have it undermounted with new gray flecked Corian counters and it looks beautiful.

    We have installed the sink and have been using it. It seems to be well made; we are very pleased with it. With the sink we order two basket strainers. These seem to be good except for the threaded section which is a little flimsy. Their plastic wing nut works ok but I had to use a dishwasher tee on one side and had to use the metal nut that came on the tee-it did not work so I had to get another type of strainer for that side of the sink.     The sink arrived promptly and was a much better price and thicker steel than home improvement stores. Based on the pictures and the lack of a warning that the strainers were not included, I was surprised to just see two holes in the sink and no strainers in the package. I do realize that the website had an option to purchase strainers and drains, but I had thought this was additional sinks.

  • What size Sink Base Cabinet is needed for this sink?
    This sink requires a minimum 33" sink base cabinet.
  • Is 16 gauge stainless steel thicker or thinner than 18 gauge stainless steel?
    16 gauge stainless steel is 25% thicker than 18 gauge stainless steel.
  • How many strainers do I need to purchase?
    If you have a garbage disposal in one bowl, you will need to purchase 1 strainer for the other bowl. If you do not have a garbage disposal, you will need to purchase 2 strainers.
  • Can a garbage disposal be installed in this sink?
    Yes. A garbage disposal can be installed in either bowl.
  • What type of wood is used to make your cutting boards?
    Our light, Natural cutting board is made of rubberwood from the latex-producing rubber tree. Our dark, Sapele cutting board is made of wood from the sapele tree, which is in the mahogany family. Both are dense hardwoods with a natural resistance to moisture, molds and fungus.
