Apron Stainless Steel Sinks
July 25, 2017

Why Choose an Apron Sink?

Apron, or farmhouse, style kitchen sinks are a stylish and increasingly popular choice in many modern homes. These sinks are installed on top of the counter so that the front-facing surface of the sink is completely exposed.

Apron sinks are "user-friendly" and extend from the counters by a couple of inches, allowing individuals to stand directly against the edge of the sink rather than reaching over a section of the countertop. They feature deep basins that can accommodate large pots and pans.

Composition

MR Direct apron style sinks are constructed from cold-rolled 304-grade stainless steel. The superior-quality composition and corrosion-resistant properties ensure a strong product that you can depend on. Each apron sink comes fully-insulated to diminish sound, and has a brushed satin finish to help conceal any scratches that may occur over time.

MR Direct apron sinks can be purchased as single or double bowls (equal or offset double bowls are available). Additionally, they can be installed as topmounts or undermounts, but require custom-fit cabinets, so MR Direct recommends contacting a professional cabinet fabricator for installation.

Cleaning your Apron Sink

To clean your apron sink after everyday use, it's important to rinse with water and towel dry afterwards. Most cleaners contain chemical additives that will compromise the luster of your sink if they are used daily, but regularly rinsing with water is sufficient.

Once a week, saturate your sink with a mild abrasive cleaner and use a soft cloth or sponge to scrub with the grain of the sink. Rinse immediately and towel dry. Never use steel wool or allow chlorides to remain in contact with your sink for long periods of time.
