Pure Composition
Copper sinks evoke a sense of timeless elegance. Their striking appearances are exquisite enough to be regarded as works of art, yet they're durable enough to withstand years of daily use. MR Direct uses 99% pure-mined copper to create each copper kitchen sink, and they are hand-hammered to achieve a beautiful textured finish. With artistry and skill, one singular sheet of metal is transformed into durable rectangular-shaped copper sinks for the kitchen.
Configuration & Installation
MR Direct offers a range of installation methods for copper kitchen sinks. Undermount sinks -which feature negative, flush, or positive reveals- sit below the countertop. Bar sinks are the perfect complement to any entertainment area or wet bar, and they add a touch of style to the home's social setting. Apron, or farmhouse, style copper sinks are installed on top of the counter so that the front-facing surface of the sink is completely exposed.
Copper kitchen sinks are available in single-bowl and double-bowl options. Double bowls can either be divided equally, or offset so that one bowl is larger than the other. The smaller basins act as a food prep sink, and the larger basin is used to stack dishes or fill large pots with water.
Antique Patina
All MR Direct copper kitchen sinks feature an aged patina, which works alongside the hand-hammered finish to conceal minor scratches and blemishes that may occur over time. The patina is "live," meaning the appearance of the sink will continue to oxidize and darken over the lifetime of the sink. As the copper's patina begins to react with the environment and oxidize at different rates, the variation of these copper tones will turn each sink into a unique masterpiece.
