On September 28th, the United States government announced an Anti-Dumping law that will place duties on all stamped stainless steel sinks imported from China. This Anti-Dumping case has been in discussion for a while, and as of Monday, October 8th, a 60% tariff will be applied to all stamped stainless steel sinks. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to raise stainless steel prices.
Our 90 degree and apron style stainless steel sinks will not be included with this tariff because they are manufactured by hand. Our stock of Stone, Copper, Bronze, TruGranite, Porcelain and Glass continues to grow and may be a suitable alternative for your customer base.
MR Direct understands that this may cause hardships for your business, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience. We are making every effort to ease this transition. Starting immediately:
- MR Direct will offer 30 day terms to all customers. To receive these terms, please call our customer service team as soon as possible to obtain and return a credit application for setup prior to future orders.
- If you choose to pay by credit card or echeck, we will pass along an immediate 3% discount on your order.
- MR Direct is launching 3 aggressively budget-priced stainless steel sinks, all having the same cutout. Each of these sinks is priced at $97.00 and will be very competitive in this new sink market.
