It’s grilling season! I am so ready to get my hands on homegrown veggies and fresh herbs to whip up some fresh summer dishes. I’ve prepared a BBQ menu for you that is sure to be a hit:

Menu

  • Marinated Beef Kabobs
  • The Sassy Barn Burger
  • Easy Slaw
  • Fruit Salad

Let’s get started!

Marinated Beef Kabobs

Marinated Beef Kabobs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1/2 yellow onion diced in large chunks
  • 1 zucchini, diced

Marinade Ingredients:

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • /3 cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Dash of hot sauce

Directions:

In a large bowl, add in all of the marinade ingredients and mix well. Add in the steak cubes and coat well. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 4+ hours.

Once the steak is marinated get your veggies prepped and soak your skewers in water for 20 minutes.

Assemble your skewers as you wish and heat the grill to medium heat. Grill on each side for 5 minutes or until meat is done to your liking. Serve immediately.

The Sassy Barn Burger

The Sassy Barn Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 tsp each of garlic powder, dried onion flakes, pepper
  • 1 tsp each Worcestershire sauce and salt
  • 2 Tbsp mustard

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and form into 1/2 inch round patties. Place on the grill and cook on each side with the lid down for 4 minutes or until done to preference.

Easy Slaw

Easy Slaw

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of shredded coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp white sugar
  • 2 tsp Apple cider vinegar
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

Combine all of the slaw ingredients in a large bowl, mix well, cover and let sit in the fridge. (Note- I like to adjust my slaw ingredients and add in a touch more of sugar or salt at times, so just adjust to your liking!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 carton of blueberries
  • 1 carton of raspberries
  • 1 carton of black berries
  • 1 bag of bing cherries
  • 1 small watermelon, sliced
  • A bunch of mint leaves, washed

Directions:

Wash and combine all fruits in a large bowl and top with mint leaves!

WASHING TIP: Fill a bowl or your sink with cool water and 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar and let your veggies and most fruits soak for 10 minutes. For all berries, soak for only 3 minutes.

No Bake Summer Lemon Cream Pie

No Bake Summer Lemon Cream Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 block softened cream cheese
  • 1 lemon, juices
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust

Directions:

Combine sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese, and lemon juice. Mix well. Pour into a graham cracker crust and place in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Top with berries and serve.
