Tidy Up

First and Foremost CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! Give everything a deep clean and look at things with a critical eye. You’d be surprised by the things you “grow blind to” in your own home.

Prepare Your Bathroom

Prepare Your Bathroomp

  • Towels: Bath sheets, a hand towel, a washcloth per guest. I always opt for white linens. Use bleach to keep all your whites looking fresh and brand new!
  • Hand Soap
  • Toilet Paper
  • Bath Mat
  • Plunger And Toilet Scrub Brush
  • Basic Toiletries: Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, & Lotion – I like to save hotel toiletries for this! I set them in a decorative basket on the counter so guests know they can help themselves.

Cozy Up The Bedroom

Cozy Up The Bedroom

  • Hangers & Closet Space: Even if they prefer to live out of their suitcases, having a clear space to put their smaller items is to make them feel at home.
  • Get The Bed Ready: Pillows, linens, quilt, and throw blankets- give your guest options! Keep a fresh set of sheets, duvet cover, and towels washed, folded and ready to go in a storage box under the guest bed. It is really great to know I’ve always got a full fresh set of linens ready to go on the fly for last-minute guests!
  • Share The WiFi Password: Write this down on a sheet of paper and place it on the nightstand.
  • Cozy Seasonal Candle
