Stainless steel apron sinks are becoming increasingly popular in the kitchens. The front, or apron, of the sink is the star. Originating in the WWII era, the first farmhouse kitchen sinks were made of porcelain coated cast iron. Today, stainless steel, and other metals, is carrying on this tradition putting a modern spin on the original apron sink. The MR Direct stainless steel apron kitchen sinks are very deep and spacious, with a bold front jutting forward a few inches to reduce any reach-over strain.
Apron farmhouse stainless steel kitchen sinks are ordinarily mounted under the countertop, but a custom-fitted opening is required to be cut out of the cabinet. Each MR Direct apron stainless steel kitchen sink is constructed from cold-rolled 304-grade stainless steel. The superior-quality composition and corrosion-resistant properties ensure a strong, dependable product. 16 gauge, stainless steel kitchen sinks are 25% thicker than the industry standard of 18 gauge, and come fully-insulated to diminish sound. Their brushed satin finish helps conceal any scratches that may occur over time.
Daily cleaning needn't be anything more than simple rinsing with water and drying with a towel. Many cleaners contain chemical additives which can compromise the luster of your sink if they are used daily.
Once a week, wash using a mild, abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth. Rinse immediately and towel dry. Never use steel wool or allow chlorides to remain in contact with your sink for long periods of time.
