Bamboo Sinks

Our 100% natural bamboo vessel sinks feature simple lines and warm hues. Bamboo is harder than Red Oak and Maple and has greater tensile and compression strength than steel. When bamboo grass is harvested, the exterior of the stalk is removed and cut into long strips which are then layered to roughly form a vessel. After, the strips are laminated to adhere the layers together and create a leak-proof seal. Once dry, the bamboo vessels are cut to shape and hand-sanded to ensure each natural sink has an ultra-smooth finish.

Vessel sinks are free-standing, meaning that the sink sits directly on the surface of the countertop. They are popular choices because of their ability to transform your bathroom decor from ordinary to extraordinary. A vessel sink is guaranteed to serve as a conversation piece and is much more versatile than an undermount or topmount sink. Since the sinks sit higher, special vessel faucets with taller spouts are available for vessel sinks.

Features & Benefits
Sustainability
Bamboo is a highly sustainable material choice because it is able to grow and regenerate at an extremely rapid rate. While the shoots and leaves of bamboo grow above ground, the roots and stems of bamboo grow underground, so the bamboo shoots can be cut down without killing the plant. In addition, bamboo shoots grow as much as a foot per day and can be regularly harvested.
Treatment
Each bamboo sink is treated with varnish sealer to ensure the natural material remains waterproof. The sealer provides a finished look that works to highlight the warm hues and patterns that live naturally within bamboo.
