Stainless Steel Undermount Sinks

Our stainless steel sinks are made from 304 steel and have a variety of bowl options. The chemical property, composition, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of our stainless steel provides the best all-around performance at a relatively low cost. Stainless steel also has a brushed satin finish that works to conceal small scratches that may occur over time. Most of our stainless steel sinks are made by pressing a sheet of rolled out steel over a die to form the shape of the sink. Our 90-degree sinks are made by welding the seams of one solid sheet of stainless steel together. All four sides of the specially cut piece of steel are folded upward and joined together to form 90-degree angles.

Undermount sinks sit below the countertop without exposing the rim of the sink and are popular due to the glamorous appeal and functionality they offer. The sink is clamped to the material from below and silicone-based sealants are used to ensure a waterproof seal between the sink and countertop. There can be complications at installation time if the hole in the countertop is not cut properly, so use caution when attempting this mounting style.

Features & Benefits
Fully Insulated
All of our stainless steel sinks come fully insulated to help prevent dripping and condensation buildup under the sink and into your cabinet. If condensation builds in your sink cabinet, mold and allergens can develop and become a serious risk. A coat of barrier formula is sprayed on the bottom of the sink to protect the sink. In addition, sound dampening pads are added to minimize the “tin" sound when water is running or dripping.
Gauge
Our stainless steel sinks are made from 16, 18, 20, or 24 gauge steel. Gauge sizes are numbers that indicate the thickness of the sheet stainless steel the sink is made from, with a higher number referring to a thinner sheet. For example, a sink constructed from 16 gauge steel is 25% thicker than a sink that is constructed from 18 gauge steel.
